IBSA

The International Breast Surgery Alliance.
Connecting experts.
Sharing global knowledge.
Building excellence.

IBSA is an international community of breast surgeons that aims to:

- assure quality of care in oncological, reconstructive and aesthetic breast surgery
- educate physicians, researchers, educators, care providers and patients
- stimulate clinical and basic research in the field of breast surgery
- gather scientific data and build evidence based medicine
- centralise knowledge in one community
- share this knowledge by swift communication

This networking has created an international alliance that builds today's excellence in breast surgery education.

The International Breast Surgery Alliance (IBSA) is a new international alliance founded in 2017 by a group of plastic surgeons, with particular expertise in breast surgery. The leading idea behind the creation of IBSA was to re-discuss and refresh the already existing guidelines and set out new one for the future.
IBSA founding members are: Professor Jian Farhadi from Zurich, Professor Jaume Masia from Barcellona, Professor Phillip Blondeel from Gent, Professor Christoph Andree from Dusseldorf, Dr Roy the Vita and Dr Stefano Pompei from Rome and Dr Nicolas Leymarie from Paris.
